Regional Business Development Professional

Experience

5+ years’ experience in a similar role preferably in Electrical, Automation, IT or Security industry. Startup experience will be an added advantage.

Qualification

Graduate with MBA/EMBA in Sales & Marketing with knowledge of new age business development digital tools.

Job Responsibilities

The Regional BDP wins, maintains, and expands relationships with customers and assigned channel partners. Responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives.

The Regional BDP represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned partners and customers, though may focus on a specific solution or product set if focused in a partner vertical market. He shall also work closely with partners for acquiring new projects.

Job Duties
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
  • Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Sells through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources.
  • Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements.
  • Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for the region in support of company sales objectives.
  • Proactively recruits new qualifying partners.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling regional sales representatives & channel partners; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Conducts business development for acquiring new projects from developers and partners.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  • Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts.

Technical Support Engineer

Diploma or B.E in Electrical, Electronics or related field. Professional industry certification on IT Networking, IoT and Wired/Wireless home automation systems would be highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

To provide pre-sales, projects and post sales technical support to the clients and channel partners.

Job Duties
  • Aligns with Sales Team for providing pre-sales support like product demonstration, and technical presentation.
  • Align with electricians to guide Home Automation conduit, cabling, installation & commissioning
  • Do end to end installation and programming of smart home systems.
  • Integrate new technologies like Amazon Alexa. Google Home, Apple Home Kit and IFTTTT.
  • Prepare reports on daily activities, site visits, site audit, installation, site handover and Technical issues.
  • Perform system testing for identifying technical or quality issues if any.
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with Regional and Central Tech support team.
  • Conduct technical trainings and workshops for customers and channel partners.
  • Perform competitive technical analysis on competing automation systems in market.
  • Provide inputs on new features and improvements in existing systems.
  • Provide technical guidance to channel partner technical teams.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with end customers and partners.
Professional Skills
  • Should have good knowledge of Wired protocols like KNX, CBUS,MOD BUS and S BUS
  • Should have good knowledge of Wireless protocols like Zigbee, Zwave, RF, BLE, Wifi, and EnOcean.
  • Should have good demonstration and presentation abilities.
  • Should have good communication and people management skills.
