FAQ

1) If you have changed your smartphone, what to do?

Please download the SmartLiving or Smartliving--Pro Mobile App, then install the app. Now, connect your smartphone to your local WiFi signal.

2) If you changed your WiFi router password or SSID Name, what to do?

This is one of the most common queries, the solution is a simple step-by-step process which will not take more than 10 mins. At first, find the main scene controller, which will looks similar to the image below. (add image of scene controller) Check if the main scene controller is blinking rapidly or not. If it is not blinking rapidly that means it is connected to the WiFi. (fast blink after lost connection)

If it is blinking rapidly then follow the below steps:

    - When you look at the main scene controller, there will be a vertical center line.

    - In this line there will be two holes, one at the top and one at the bottom.

    - The holes will have to be accessed by using a pin

    - This will cause the smart scene controller to display single interval blinks on the top hole.

    - Then connect the smart switch to the WiFi ID of the main scene controller which is given in the Handover copy.

    - Connect locally from your SmartLiving Pro App and the programs will be visible on the app. Then you can follow either of the two methods.

    - Method 1 (From App): press the ‘Settings’ button on the SmartLiving Pro App and choose the ‘Add New Device’ option. Then, follow the steps mentioned.

After completing the provision/connection process, please turn off the Main MCB of your home and hold for 5 seconds, then turn it back on. Note: If you have multiple OSUM devices connected wirelessly, then please follow the above steps for each independent smart device (smart switch or smart scene controller).

3) After pressing ‘Connect Locally’, If you find an error message - “Device not found” on the SmartLiving Pro App, what to do?

    - Make sure your mobile is connected to your local WiFi.

    - Check to see if the main scene controller is blinking rapidly, this means the connection of the smart device to the WiFi is broken. If it is blinking rapidly, then follow the steps mentioned above in FAQ-2.

4) After pressing ‘Connect Cloud’, if you find an error message - “Login successful but your device is offline”. What to do?

    - Make sure your local WiFi Router (which connects to the OSUM devices) is connected to the Internet.

    - Check to see if the main scene controller is blinking rapidly, this means the connection of the smart device to the WiFi is broken. If it is blinking rapidly, then follow the steps mentioned above in FAQ-2.

5) Among the multiple lights connected to your smart switch in the same circuit, what to do when at least one light is not working?

    - Make sure that the LED driver or LED connection is working properly. (Call the electrician for this process).
